Join us as we design and build roller coasters, animals, insects, crates, shelves and anything else you can think of out of Popsicle sticks! See who's roller coaster defies gravity. Students should dress for a mess and must be able to handle a hot glue gun.

Let your imagination run wild in this fun class. We will create whacky creatures from our imagination and make them come alive with clay, collage, and soft sculpture. Then we will create and build wild worlds for our creatures to live in. Finally, we will write and illustrate graphic stories and design games to share our creations with family and friends.

Electricity, Magnetism & Sound 202 - 1458 603

Comd do fun activities with electricity, magnetism and sound. Build electrical devices that "magically" move a levitate objects without touching them, light up and produce a mild shock, map a magnetic field, make electromagnets and electric motors. Learn how speakers work, learn about sound waves and vibrations, make a wineglass sing and break with sound waves. Use a strobe light to create optical illusions you have to see to believe! Note: This class covers many of the same topics as Electricity, Magnetism & Sound 101 for ages 8-9, but the activities and discussions are more age-appropriate for children 10-12.

This week we will use the engineering design process to tackle daily challenges both big and small. You will work with your fellow campers to think outside the box.
