Join us on an adventure as we spend three days on a hiking excursion. During this class we will cover the basics of hiking safety, simple first aid, and how to be a good steward of public lands. Each day we will set out on a different adventure as we explore beautiful trails in southeast Wyoming. We will visit places like Curt Gowdy State Park and Vedauwoo National Forest. Hikes will be moderate difficulty but hikers will need to be prepared to hike 3-6 miles each day. Hikers will need to come prepared each day with a water bottle, a backpack with thick comfortable straps (no drawstring bags), good hiking shoes, a brown bag lunch and healthy snacks, sunblock, bug spray, hat, and sandals for when we hike to water.
